Square Enix needs to bite the bullet and create a new server for roleplayers. They created this mess by allowing people to pay their way into high pop servers. Now said players understandably don't want to leave behind their connections nor risk going to baby servers that may wither in a couple months. The incentives offered simply aren't enough. I couldn't care less about being reimbursed for my house. I want to have one. While the queues are annoying, I'd rather put up with them than chance not getting a house again. Gilgamesh will inevitably work itself out thanks to PF. Balmung won't because it caters to the idea of having one large community.

Even if all the roleplayers moved out of Balmung it would STILL be overpopulated. Roleplayers are a minority of the population there. A fairly large minority, but still a minority.

Besides Balmung isn't the only server suffering from overly long queues.
