Against "Simultaneous Logout Measures"

Guys, it's really important this players static doesn't get interrupted for 10 mins. I know there are apparently thousands of players not getting to play at all. But we don't want to inconvenience this guy and his static.

It's not just about statics. When you're queuing solo as a DPS, it's easy for queues to go upward of 30 minutes or longer. Why bother waiting in a queue when the notification pops, because even if you do get in, what if you don't finish the duty anyways? Then you get kicked out and have to requeue after you beat the mass login queue that does happen.

It still does not change the fact that a lot of servers dont even need this forced log out because they dont need to wait. So why not do this only for the biggest servers and let all the other just play? If you have no problems logging in and have to wait a certain time to even do anything instanced thanks to being a DPS and have to wait 10 minutes on top of maybe a sudden queue that was not here before and after that have to wait again for the next Instance while fearing that the servers might not manage it and kick one out. If you only have a certain amount of hours to play this could make it even impossible to do some dungeons..

So maybe SE should do this for the bigger ones (but its still only a band-aid..) and leaves the servers that dont have a problem alone..

Force logoff of ACTIVE players to curb "AFK-queue exploiting" is singlehandedly the most stupid thing I have read in 20 years of internet use.

Do NOT do this SE. Your login servers will prevent everyone with hour long queues, the AFKers log in and AFK again and this whole thing accomplishes nothing, except pissing off your PAYING customers who have a real life and limited time to play.

FIX your system (players can afk during crafting/retainer/cutscenes) and upgrade your server hardware.
THAT is the solution.

No Server congested, I can see my character as soon as I log in.
It worked. I would be in 1-3k but either way I would of waited 4 hours.
So this confirmed that at this time frame, it works. THANK GOD.

As a healer with an instant queue, I wouldn't be mad either.

I won't pretend it isn't an interruption or an inconvenience. But today was during their lowest volume time of day, when yes, DPS queues were probably at their absolute longest due to many people doing daytime things. But even on the most congested server with the longest queues, this can only be good. Now that tank and healer that would be running your dungeon with you can log in, instead of being locked out by an AHK bot.

I was 1.2k yesterday.
Login: 4:30ish.
Got in: 7:24PM.

You would think it would of been less, and I was happy, until I was in a stand still in several numbers for 30 mins at a time.
They just need to do this for a little bit, maybe it'll even out
itself for now. At least everyone can damn play the game now.
It took 2 weeks but now I can enjoy the game without being straight up tired
and tryna wake up early to play even a little until after work at night.

Well it already working from what I can see, logged into balmung at 5:30pm and was able to get in right away
