Against "Simultaneous Logout Measures"

This is by far the worst idea SE has come up with. FFXI never had this problem
1. They should have restricted character creations UP TO the server Capacity.
2. Now that it is too late, they should invest in servers to support the increased populations ( not everyone is going to move servers, and we shouldn't be forced to)
3. I pay a subscription to be on the game 24/7 unless its maintenance, this move only shows they want me to pay a sub, and log in when they want me to.
4. It should NOT be considered an EXPLOIT for staying logged into the game, FOCUS should be on WHY the Servers CANNOT handle the amount of characters they allowed to be created.
5. It is no secret SE makes healthy profits and well deserved, but it is a shame they have gone this far just because of the bottom line, this does not reflect QUALITY, this is a CHEAP move, and making the players who are all paying customers take the heat.

I'm leveling an alt on Mateus. I just got to Brayflox. The servers go down in 30 minutes. I am a dps.

I cannot do Brayflox. I cannot continue story.

So for me, an innocent person leveling something NOT on Balmung, it's not 10 minutes.

It will be annoying, but you will have an HOUR advance notice and it will only last ten minutes. It isn't a big deal at all. It really is a non-issue.

Will it really be a non-issue though for DPS that sit in a DPS queue for over an hour hoping to make it into a duty before the timer kicks everyone?
I waited 75 minutes tonight for Expert Roulette. 75. Minutes. At 11pm my time (CST), so not even peak hours for NA servers. Meaning even if I attempted to queue in before the announcement, I would have still been in queue when it was announced AND probably when everyone was kicked, effectively restarting my DPS queue. Which, at that point, I probably wouldn't even bother--Verity be damned.

You know, after I sit in a log-in queue for several additional minutes after the kick timer resets.
Cactuar RARELY has queues (I don't count the silly ones of 20 people, because I can just hit "Cancel" and still make it in when I try again). The exception to our queues were the first few days of Early Access, and then it tapered off. Smaller servers don't even HAVE queues. Why punish all the servers for the few that are still so overcrowded, they're having these issues?

Quite frankly, this is a completely ridiculous measure.

On what Lamia? Hah, I doubt it. If the server isn't full when the measure happens, then even if every single person logs back on, the server still won't be full.

That and you log in...queue for 1 hour dungeon queue as DPS and see the message ~30min in - then you have to pray the queue pops within the next 15 minutes and you have a group that can finish the dungeon in time before being auto kicked.

had 90 queue, it was gone in like 30 seconds.
