I learned you're actually supposed to do this in some situations - it's called a zipper merge. Not turn lanes though.

Yeah that's why I specified. There's also the issue of them blocking the cars behind them who actually NEED to turn because they're sitting at a red light waiting while not intending to turn. At least with queue squatters there's not a chance someone gets t-boned in an intersection.

But I digress, a bit off topic. Just clarifying. lol
