Blizzara working?

I have encounter some issues with blizzara. First is not in combo with blizzard like the others tier 2 nukes. Other thing is that is an instant cast, some times it does damage but sometimes don't even so it use your mp. Have this happen to anyone else or is just me?

It doesn't seem to be meant to chain. It's meant more to be a spell to slow down whatever you're fighting so that you can nuke them from a distance with your other spells. I can't attest to the instant cast, I haven't played THM yet.

Blizzara is based around you not the target, if you are not in range of anything it will fail. I'm not sure if that was the intent of the spell, but that is how it works. The radius around your character is very small, I would say close to melee range.

Blizzara is a point blank area effect nuke. It is always centered around you, no matter who you target. Blizzara design is a save me button for THM since it binds all enemies in melee range so you can run away.

The reason it does have a combo is because blizzard doesn't seem to be designed for damage, it is for control. Blizzard is your pulling nuke that puts heavy on the target and blizzara is for when they get too close and want to bind them.

ahhh i see is really close range spell thanks for clarifying that. Still... is this the only spell that do not combo with his lower tier?

Yup only one that doesn't. Might be saving the combo for when we get black mage later on. Black mage has the last ice nuke.

I think that was intentional. If you compare the description to Fire, Fire says it hits the target and anything near it, Blizzara says it hits anything in range. There's also no targeting cursor for it.

I kept toying with this when exping other day and for some reason didn't figure out how it worked (I was tired, shut up.)

Sounds good...although can't help but think sometimes the help info could be clearer on skills. Like maybe they could tell us things like where the aoe originates (in this case the caster) as well as how large the aoe is. Though I think I remember reading in a dev post a while back that they're thinking about adding aoe circles at some point?
