this is a 1.0 character - ive had multiple random issues such as unable to do class quests because i need to do fights again, such as the arcanist/summoner quest and needing to do bowels of ember.

1. went to all 3 grand companies, they said i must continue with the main quest. i am currently doing heavensward main quests

2. unable to earn seals or anything grand company related such as pvp or supply turn ins or purchase anything.

3. there is no grand conpany listed on my inngame profile, but i can see seals earned on my web profile.

I have the same problem. I decided it was time to bring my legacy character up to speed on the story, so I purchased Tales of Adventure: Heavensward. According to the description on mogstation a Grand company would be chosen for me based on my starting city. This was fine, and I can see that maelstrom was chosen in the 'completed' tab in my quest log, which I thought was strange, seeing as Ul'dah is my starting city, but whatever. The problem is that when I go there and talk to the NPC's, I get the message that I must proceed further in the MSQ to be able to join. I see no Grand Company tag on my name in searches or Free Company lists, but I have some seals from before and it is displayed as such on my currency tab: 3532/0. I hope this is solved soon or someone has a solution for this.
