    Please help me understand pf

Why are people doing "mount farm lootmaster join order"? This is dumb as hell, why would someone fill the team knowing the mount has less than 2% drop rate and thus farming for nothing? How could you also expect 8 mount drop without ragequitters or hiden ragequitters with false excuses?
I need to put some logic here this is disturbing me

No idea, and the people who make the pt are just going to get their mount and bail lol joining those pts is stupid, but if people are gonna fall for it I guess its an easy way to get a guaranteed mount

PF is easy to understand, people who join those are suckers. It's impossible to understand suckers. Just don't be one.

There's a reason you see them in the PF a lot. They don't fill up, because thankfully most people *aren't* that stupid.

TBH I see lootmaster parties as scams anyway. Don't join em.

But there's always the inexperienced and naive that some people will take advantage of...

Those groups are supposed to sbe 24/7 up and then it doesnt matter if the one who gets the drop leaves.

If No#1 gets dog and leaves everybody gets a place forward and a new 8th joins.
Someone leaves, someone new comes, this doesn't affect your position in a bad way.

It is no scam if the one who gets the pony leaves, as long as it was his turn.
You just don't get the system. They're not ment to consist of the same 8 people until everbody has their loot...

I'm not saying that I would use this system, but for some people it works.

Which basically means you're farming a 2% drop for the leader of the party, who will probably leave when he has it, if you see it drop at all.

I suppose, like the lottery, you could see it as a math tax instead of a scam.

If you're place 4 you're farming for 4 drops regardless how many people leave in between.
If the leader leaves after his drop this doesn't change anything
    It's like a waiting queue.

It's just an option between "Do I want to see X (up to 8) drops to have a 100% chance to get it." or "Do I want to see X (up to infinite) drops and have always a 12.5% chance to get it".

There are several games were such a approach works just fine, because esp. with this system you are not instructed to have the same group for the whole farm for same drop chance.

The only 'scam' groups are those saying 'Stay till everyone has their drop.' which are usually 'normal farms'.

an unsustainable queue that fills up more slowly as it gets longer. i would love to know how many of these parties have ever made it to 4 drops without disbanding before the drop rates were nerfed.
