Give us another way to increase mount speed besides hunts

Given the rate at which you acquire company seals compared to allied/centurio seals, hunts would still be the preferred option by far, but this would offer a secondary, but much less convenient, option for doing so. Allied seals are the worst. I can never find those hunts. You'd think you would get some allied seals with new hunts but no.

Hunts need a rework in general especially the older hunts at least the fact it takes over 3 hrs to days for them to pop is just dumb considering what you can even use the allied seals for allied seals were virtually worthless after 3.0 and even more so now in 4.0 other than the maps I can't see any reason to honestly "want to farm" allied seals other than for the vanity gear. every thing gives out poetics like candy now mise well do the same for allied seals

Absolutely. I have no problem with the alternative methods being less efficient and is a good way to encourage people to do hunts that enjoy/tolerate them. I also really like the idea of making the books able to be sold on the market as this gives another avenue for non crafters/gatherers to make gil and enter the market.

There would be plenty of ways they could have implemented that. If they wanted to stick with the allied seals, just add hunting marks for the old area's, in case people do not want to do the whole A and S rank stuff, or are on servers that are either overpopulated, meaning hunts don't last 3 seconds, or people that are on so low population servers, that they can't find people to help with. I do know most of them are solo able, but not all of them and it also depends on the class/job. That would give them the option to do these logs on a daily basis at their own pace or skip it em all together if they chose to do that.

Could have gone the seal route, I mean we getting seals thrown at us from everywhere, it's not like old ARR anymore were you actually had to fate grind. Could have done something like they did with the old relic items, selling these books at 50 or 100k

Another method would have been the exchange of gear for books. Lets say you need 20 chest pieces to get one book, or 10 specific pieces from a specific dungeon for a specific book, again just like the old relic books were. If you wanted let's say ride faster in Coerthas, have them exchange gear from DD and AF to get that.

If you wanted to include HW in that already existing mess and wanted veterans to participate in older content, and being any kind of help to new players, could have added it to the wondrous trails. You get 2 lines you can chose between that MGP voucher, tomes or the book itself.

I could go on all day, with ideas that could have been implemented to make this work and a fun part of the game, not a forced go find A/S ranks and hope for the best kind of situation. And if nobody wanted to change or adjust the system that way, well could always make these books available in both vendors, allied as well as centurio seals. It's not like these books are something so spectacular that it's an absolute must and secret ritual to gate them behind some content that isn't most peoples favorite. We are not talking about gaining super powers here.

I haven't unlocked hunts on this account yet, but back when HW released I used to do them on my prev account. Hated hunts so much, it's such a huge waste of time trying to find some of the weekly hunts, flying on a map for who knows how long trying to find them.

I only did them because you needed the seals for the new armor and gave decent exp. It feels more like a chore than anything else. If other people likes doing them that's fine but please don't gate important content behind them.

Why is it 'important' to have the further upgraded mount spead in old areas?

The only thing I can think of is... hunts.
Well, and fishing/gathering ofc, but it's more an convenience than really important.

They need to increase the HP of ARR marks. If you're not in a party you'll get almost no rewards because "you didnt contribute enough".

I am just shaking my head on their solutions to make hunts relevant again each expansion. If people are only doing that stuff because you are putting such items behind it then maybe you should come up with something new. Not that I want hunts to be gone but why try to make them relevant again and again?

Just give people a choice. Make it something from hunts, PvP, MGP and more. So people can have a varied way to get it. Putting it behind hunts just creates more drama which there is already enough.

Make them available for MGP! A fair amount of people have so much MGP and don't know what to do with them. I saw a few topics about this, requesting for more stuff to spend MGP on. Well... that's an option! Could make a neat little quest involving (dialogue-wise) training your chocobo to run faster.
