Give us another way to increase mount speed besides hunts

Alliance hunts are impossible to do anymore unless you find the hunt yourself, spawn if yourself, or in the immediate area when its initially shouted. I cannot for the life of me believe they tied the speed increase solely to alliance hunts that are easier to solo than many level 69 mobs now.

I didn't even know the speed increase came from hunts. I never bother to even look at the vendor sideways, because I know his stuff is tied to hunts and I don't do hunts <.<

While I don't personally mind hunts, I would like the option to spend GC seals on them, even if its cost is significantly higher. I have more GC seals than I can spend since 4.0 dropped.

I would like to second this. I really do not like the hunt. I can normally only play for an hour a few days a week and the hunt always feels like the least efficient way to use that time. Unfortunately every few months, I have to join every other human on my server in a massive zerg fest of some poor creature because the items for upgrading our equipment is gated behind a single piece of content. Please give us at least one other way to acquire stuff gated behind hunt seals

with single piece of content you mean hunts, savage raids and 24 raids?
and you can earn lots of seals just by doing your daylies, no need to join any kind of zerg

Sorry, but I have to disagree, the upgrades are fine just the way they are.

We had the same mount speed from 2.0 to 4.0 (~4 years!) and as soon as 4.0 dropped we (people who had completed MSQ anyway) already got a speed boost for all old areas and we didn't have do anything.

Yes there are a lot of ARR areas to unlock, but so what? We do not have to get every single bit of new content complete in the first 2 weeks. If they made it that quick, there would just be large amounts of people complaining there was nothing to do.

You also don't have to do rank A's or rank S's either. Just picked up your daily hunts and do them when you feel like it, or just do like I do, do them when you unintentionally stumble over them.

Unlock the 2nd upgrade in the bigger ARR zones first (Coethas Central and Mor Dhona?) and then after that just get them when you can. Or grind A/S's if you're really that impatient and the speed boost we already got wasn't somehow enough for now.

...I'm glad I'm not the only one who had this question answered by this thread. After finishing the story and doing the new dungeons I was about to post asking where they even came from since nothing in the game told me about how to get it.

One of the great things about FFXIV design has always been that there are multiple ways to acquire the same thing.

Although I agree that these shouldn't have been locked behind the old hunts. The new ones would have been fine. However, I don't understand this comment. Are there more ways to get fenrir if you don't like the golden saucer? Is there another way to get pvp gear without pvping? Not that I'm aware of.
