    LVL 70 SCH quest

Can we just talk about this quest? Can we talk about how these idiot NPCs run, leap, and fly towards the telegraphed AOE marks? Is there an AOE telegraphed attack that these two people don't intentionally run into? Got a lovely AOE marker that says to spread? Let's all stack up! Got a stacking marker? Eh, they'll get to it later. This game has taught us that standing in the telegraphs is bad and the wisdom to dealing with this is to let them die. BUT WE CAN'T LET THESE MOFOS DIE! Why? Why! Why can't we let these mofos wipe themselves out of the virtual gene pool? D:

When I did both the level 65 and the level 70 instance parts the NPCs specifically tried to keep out of most AoEs during the boss fights, running hither and yon. Setoto actually circled around the boss to avoid puddles, which was nice, though this apparently does not apply to most trash pulls, which they ignore. An exception is the Morbol, whose breath Zolka sidestepped. Regardless they're all so beefy that it's not really a danger.

Frankly I would rather revisit the disparity between SMN and SCH questlines once more. In HW SMN fought against an Ascian and learned to channel the essence of Bahamut while SCHs were yelled at by a Tonberry and fought a demon that popped out of a pot. In SB SMN deal with an Allagan Death Machine capable of recreating variants of raid bosses in a climactic showdown while SCHs watch a Lalafel flirt with a Tonberry.

At least Landenel was cooler than Prin.

That's weird, I was bragging on them to my FC. Saying they did mechanics better than most DF groups.

I thought the SCH questline was cute.

You got lucky. These ones didn't move for anything. I actually have them both chasing me when we get that damage AOE marker over our heads (not the shared dmg one.) Literally chasing me. I was OOM before the boss got below 80%. It was unreal. Took me three or four attempts simply because I couldn't keep them alive.

But I wonder if it's just the instance being wonky. I was in another one for the MSQ and the NPCs basically just followed me around in a straight line. I actually got lost trying to figure out where we were supposed to go. The lvl 65 NPCs actually moved out or avoided the telegraphs.

I had this experience as well. I wished my Chocobo could dodge even 10% as well as these two.
I was pretty impressed at how they were pathing around AOEs and moving out of range.
I wonder if that's difficult to code, because it seems pretty rare in this game for NPCs to even notice they can avoid damage.
