Hey, I'm pretty new to the game, but I just wanted to come on to the forums and say this.

I've played WoW off and on since Burning Crusade, and one of the things that's really been disappointing about it for the last expansion is the sense of community is totally gone. There's so much anger in a lot of interactions that it gets silly sometimes.

I just wanted to say (and maybe this is because I'm still playing through old content) but it really seems like the community in this game is great. Everybody in dungeons is helpful, willing to explain fights, working with new players instead of against.

Again, might be rose tinted glasses here or something, but you guys are great. I'm loving the game. Warrior is fun, Red Mage is fun. This game is fun.

Thats fantastic! I am glad you are enjoying your time here so far and i hope you continue to enjoy it in the future! We do have our fair share of grumbly grumpy players, but i do think our community is largely respectful and helpful.

Welcome! I to am a old wow player and I can tell you the community is like apples and oranges. However we do have a few rotten apples among the bunch but so far the community as you said have been really helpful.so o hope you enjoy it

I'm also a former WoW player who started in Cataclysm. You are COMPLETELY right about WoW's community. It's extremely toxic, and almost no one is willing to help someone else. I was always too afraid to say 'hi, i'm new to this dungeon, can you give me tips?' for fear of being ridiculed and kicked. That doesn't exist in this game. If I say I'm a first-timer, the other people will take a couple minutes to explain mechanics so I know what to do/what to expect. I enjoy seeing players helping others for a change instead of being royal a-holes. Of course there are some rotten apples in the bunch, but that's to be expected. But thankfully they are in the minority here in FFXIV.

Unfortunately my experience is on the opposite side… 1 or 2 out of 10 would actually explain the fight and nice to sprouts. Most of them just say nothing and if wipe just quit. Few just burn through low level dungeons without saying anything and seem couldn't care less about newbie, even the newbie die they can still clr that is.

Novice network is not really helpful. Full of dramas. "Tutors" are often arrogant and impatient towards "novice", sniff on sprouts.

I was told that the community is great in this game before I joined. So I guess I got too much hope up hence got more disappointment in the end. These things are generally happening in every online games. So don't get me wrong, I am not saying the community is bad at all. Just describing some of my experience. and not as good as I'd expect.

I've got a nice small FC, people there are really nice. So ye, some goods some bass for me. Average. :P

Nah not rose tinted glasses the community here compared to WoW is like night and day. there's still the occasional jerk but not even close to as many.
