    That's false. Failed synth attempts count too. I tested this last night on lv 1-10 CUL recipes, bought 50 fish, synthed all and broke like 5, got the achievement. However, you have to cancel the synthesis "stance" to have the achievement show on your screen.

    Also, for DoH, it's quite easy to keep track of how many synths you've done. Just keep track of the mats used.

    Edit: Sorry, I was mistaken. Winter is correct, only successful synths count towards the achievements. I mistook the lv10 CUL achievement for the 50 lv1-10 synths achievement.
