Ran a lot of dungeons with quite a fair bit of Samurais. THEY.TUNNEL.VISION.A.LOT.
Friend said it's coz SAM's rotation makes them tunnel since they have to focus on their combo. Is that true?

Our opener is about 35s. however outside of pointblank aoe they should easily be able to dodge most while doing it. The rotation isn't complicated enough to tunnel vision. besides you can tunnel vision with any class, not just Sam.
Don't really have to focus on it any harder than any other rotation. Sounds like they just don't pay attention.
I think that many people who never played Ninja find it harder to get used to SAM. From a quick test with SAM, it felt very similar to NIN in many ways. A slightly easier to grasp version, but still it requires lots of specific combos to be done. They'll eventually get used to it I'm sure. Hopefully by the time endgame stuff really starts becoming a thing. Remains to be seen how well the class does there in general. SAM seems to do lots of raw DPS, but from what I've seen, it doesn't have the much needed raid utility that a monk and a bard has. One SAM per group would be ideal, but you can bet your bum that every PUG group will be filled with them so stay the FRIGG away from PUG groups if you can help it once the time comes.
Also I think that people are so obsessed with leveling quickly through PvP and other means that they never really learn the class all that well. That's why you get those awful SAM players in dungeons and trials.
Probably has to do with the fact it's a new job and for most average players the rotation and their hotbar setup hasn't become muscle memory yet. Give people some time to get used to it.
WH- I don-.. I don't tunnel vison! I just stop paying attention for half a second..
Is it possible that no SAM has had the job more than about 10 days at this point and they're still getting used to it? No? They must be horrible people who tear those tags off of mattresses?
The rotation isn't super complicated but it CAN be easy to lose track of where you are in it, especially if you have to be handling other things at the same time which in just about every fight you do.
Even the most complicated rotations this game has ever seen has had people doing mechanics while doing them. It's not a Samurai tunnel visioning problem- it's a player tunnel visioning problem.
