Now that you know this fight is giving you difficulty, what have you done to change that? Have you watched Mr. Happy's guide? Are you making sure your gear is repaired? Have you looked to see if anyone has info or footage about clearing it from your role's perspective to ensure you are playing optimally? Are you using food / potions / etc. that might give you an edge? Does your gear have materia on it?

I'm not necessarily saying that every person who does this boss should have to do all of these things. But I do think there are a lot of things a person can and should do before they come on here begging for SE to swing the nerf bat. I have looked at the video and I'm 95% sure that with my eyesight this guy's gonna be annoying. But I want to beat him as is because that's how he was intended.

That said, I do agree with those who feel difficulty spikes need better management. That can throw anyone off.

I beat it in my first df party group. Took two tries. Nobody explained anything.

It will come with time as experience and gear gets better

You don't need ANY of this stuff, specially the materia, food/potions or playing optimally. You don't even need guides but I get where you are coming from.
Using "high-end raiding" strategies? Nope xD

If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

I cleared it on my second pull in a random DF with 6 other newbies. Is it harder than what you've seen so far in StormBlood? Yes. Is it so hard it needs nerfs? Heck no!

This on the other hand blocks further progression in the story for those less able. People constantly go on about "this is a story-driven game", and that is what many have said they play it for. Block casuals (less able/effort) this early on in an expansion and then people can't get upset when SE start using Mogstation to sell even more things to make up the shortfall, putting stuff up that should be in the game in the first place.

Not nerfing it isn't going to stop the sea of shitty players you meet who can't be bothered in normal expert roulette runs and the like.
Less skilled players will naturally start to clear it more often as the average item level of those who know what they're doing gets higher. As their item level gets higher, it becomes easier for them to carry others on their back through the content.

Many "Story driven games" still prevent you from proceeding unless you "git gud" and beat the content. This isn't early into the content, it's literally the end of the current expansion right now. People have no excuse for failing the final trial. There's 70 levels worth of content to teach them everything they need to know to get through it.

Nearly group I've done it with clears it within 2-3 wipes. This definitely does not need a nerf and it works great in easing people into more difficult content. Don't forget, odd number patches will only include 1 new dungeon with the resources that were usually allocated for a second dungeon be used towards new content, and the dev team has expressed interest in making more difficult 4-man content (apparently like the last set of floors of PotD). If that turns out to be the case, this trial may be a good step towards easing players into those more difficult content if they wish to do them.

I think its fine for a final trial, the difficulty is about where the hard mode warring triad were, as stated above for end expansion content its fine.

Nerf it till you can sit there auto-attacking and still get a clear like Thorndan Normal?.........no thanks this has you dodging mechanic after mechanic hitting you with huge attacks BOOM BOOM woah what now dodge this and the MUSIC OMG the music is so good

How disappointing it would have been if the final fight was a complete faceroll like Thordan but c'mon this was the final trial of Stormblood Im glad they never cheaped out on the difficulty and can't wait for the Ex Version
