It's more of a matter of just learning the mechanics, although I do feel for anyone with a high ping or low fps, they might find it a struggle even with having the mechanics down pat.

This reminds me when Nidhogg just came out, and people were ragequitting when they got it on trial roulette because so many parties had trouble clearing it.
Compared to Nidhogg though, this fight is somewhat harder. However, it doesn't need a nerf. People who are having trouble clearing this fight either:
1. Haven't died to it enough times, so are unaware or the mechanics.
2. Have died enough times and know all the mechanics, but because of how bad they lag, they keep messing up.
3. Know the fight 100% and are able to dodge everything flawlessly, but keep getting paired up with scrubs who need to get on their level.
4. Are just bad. Like really really bad. Like you tell them what to do and what not to do, and they just keep failing repeatedly. I like to think this is extremely rare though, and that most likely they're lagging.
I feel like this fight was easier to clear when it came out, since that's when the dedicated players who actually know what they were doing were also clearing it. Now, you're likely to have a couple of clueless players in your party who don't even know Alex is a thing in FFXIV.

Fight isnt even that hard if you just take the 10 minutes to learn the mechanics.
If anyone thinks this fight is hard you might be a part of the problem its not a hard fight.
the only problem this fight have is the people impatience and possible latency/FPS drop
the latter is unfortunate and could only hope a fix from Dev hotfix
the former is the biggest issue i have see in not just this fight but very dungeon/ex trial/alliance raid/any group content
if i will the richest person in FFXIV if i get 1 gil every time a player quit a content after 1 or 2 wipes
so my common on these fight are always the same, new players be patience and learn the mechanics, and veteran be patience with new players, we are all new player once
This is a double post

stop lying, your FC has only like 5 people they didnt tell you to buy a win. Clearly you have an agenda.
The fight is fine, just get some practice on the mechanics.
I did it 3rd time with a random group.
The reason its "difficult" is to get players used to end-game activities like raids and extreme trials. Say SE nerf the last boss, make it a bit easier, then when you come to do extreme trials and raids you cant do it because you haven't been forced to play harder difficulty content. It wouldn't make a very fun game if everyone can easily get the best gear possible, its meant to be hard.
And that is why extreme trials are optional and not required. That is why the extreme trials and raids are separated into their own thing. Players should not be forced into them for progression. The fight is fine, just get some practice on the mechanics.

Its this trial that makes me hesitate to level my alts. I got good at the mechanics but man were the teams hit or miss. It's not a very hard one, though I do start to fall apart near the last 5% after the seventh or more time there.
People actually buy clears for this? I could use some extra gil, lol. But seriously this fight is perfect the way it is. A legitimate challenge for a boss fight at the end of the game. I will absolutely show my support for the difficulty of this fight and show those asking for a nerf that they are def a small minority. The amount of people who want everything handed to them is starting to get really old.
