    Infusion Potions

So with a new patch, there's a new potion type on the market. Infusion potions! Weaker potency but longer length in comparison to Supramax. Have these been mathed out into the various jobs yet? I play melee so obviously the strength ones have my interest, but I also make them so I'm intetested in the possible demand for Dex and Int potions as well.

Will infusion potions be a flat increase? Or will there be cases where supramax will be better? I am absolutely god awful at math, so I defer to the people who specialize in it.

The math is easy, it's double duration at way more than half the potency (137 vs 154), and easily capped. lv 60 i270 is enough to cap them even.

edit: if you were as low as i150 @ lv 60 these new potions would still pull ahead.

The big question I was wondering about was if certain jobs had skills they wanted to hit with the higher potency that would be a gain over peppering out a bunch of smaller skills with the lower potency.

Or does nothing in the game hit THAT hard

Nah, it isn't a competition. Considering that the difference is a mere 17 main stat but it gets double the duration. Basically you could say its 274 vs 154 (though due to the nature of burst in openers it isn't that simple, but the premise is the same.

Well that's good to know. Though for shits and giggles, how strong would a shorter potion have to be to potentially outweigh a longer one?

The 15 second ones are already a bit short for openers so a shorter one wouldn't change the situation any. It'd still be a simple measure of potency vs duration, possibly becoming useless despite that because as the duration decreases, you start getting into "how long it takes to pop it vs how long it lasts".

I doubt we'll ever see a shorter potion.
