*shrug* I transferred off of Gilgamesh soon as I could to my current server. Got a house so I'm happy lol. Not like Coeurl isn't a "dead" server either so plenty of people around.

Welcome, did you find the cookie plate okay?
Honestly folks if you think it's not worth your while to move then don't. I don't want folks who were only here because the bribe was too sweet. That will result in natives and newcomers alike being unhappy.

To be honest I was planning on transferring anyways but then the incentives came so all that happened was I saved the $18.

There's always the incentive that keeps on giving - no queues. I transferred last week and still smile when I log on and have a 10 second queue of 1. I left my friends, I left my FC, I left everything and yeah that sucks but at the same time I've been able to actively play the game without jumping through hoops RL to make sure I get through the queue in time to play. I had some of my friends join me while others stayed. I stay in contact with them through discord and teamspeak. Half of my raid group stayed and the other half left but with cross server PF, that's a moot issue. I really don't think they need additional incentives.

Weird because in EU nobody had a problem transfering to Omega and making it overpopulated. That must be something of Balmung.

I don't care about the rewards or incentives. If they increased the gil limitation for transfers to non-preferred worlds I would consider transferring. I worry about the economies of the preferred worlds, and I think some of them will turn back into ghost towns after the hype dies down. It's a pain to sell my house on Balmung and then reinvest all of my gil into items to resell because the prices on tiny servers seem to all be in Zimbabwean dollars. At the same time if I moved to a mid-pop world where the prices are less crazy, I'd still have to turn my money into items to resell to get past the gil limitation.
Balmung is a bit too crowded for me whenever there's a new patch. Once we get a bit deeper in, though, it's really nice. I love seeing people out in the world. With all of the technical issues we've been having, I doubt that I will be able to pick up a new house or apartment in Shirogane. I fully expect to 90k upon entering the zone and then to sit in a 2 hour queue.

You have more than 999,999,999 gil? Yeah please, stay where you are. We don't need that much inflation just yet....It's a pain to sell my house on Balmung and then reinvest all of my gil into items to resell because the prices on tiny servers seem to all be in Zimbabwean dollars. At the same time if I moved to a mid-pop world where the prices are less crazy, I'd still have to turn my money into items to resell to get past the gil limitation.

Not even close, just in the seven figure range. I figure that my money won't go nearly as far, based on what I have seen prices of everything are much, much higher than they are on Balmung.
How about giving a free jumping potion? I might seriously think about leaving if I had a free potion from transferring.
If not then I'll gladly stay there...can't stay congested forever can it?

The thing is they addressed the problem too late. Everyone saw the train wreck that was Balmung coming a mile away aside from Square apparently. Its natural that years later people have put down substantial roots and aren't inclined to move just because its now free to do so. They've also yet to address Free Company movement and that is going to hold people up. FC housing was actually the only housing at first and at the moment it seems you'd pretty much have to give it all up and start from scratch. I can only speak for my friend and myself here, but we bought our FC house during the second wave of wards a long time ago which has given us plenty of time to spend more gil on it. The value of the whole thing, with all the rooms etc, is probably easily 10 times what we originally paid for the lot if not more so we aren't going anywhere without it. We've talked about what it would take for us to be willing to relocate and it would be:
A. Keeping the FC (points, level etc) in tact with all its members who wished to follow.
B. Free (Obviously)
C. Intact relocation of our house, furniture, and rooms to a new lot on the server.
D. Full transfer of our individual assets in gil.
E. Square designates a new RP server to guarantee we aren't relocating to a place where the RP community will die in six months.
That is the bear minimum for us as an RP FC. Anything extra just tips the scales in their favor but I'm not sure we'll see the first or second one come to be and certainly not the last. So at this point we're in for the long haul hoping the offer benefits those who can more easily jump ship without losing out on anything.
