You can transfer to 4 NA servers for free, not just EU lol.Main reason to stay on balmung is the economy..the more people there is, the more people fight for price and the better it is for the consumer. I originally transfered to balmung for the RP, but got tired of chat-RP once i had a taste of mic RP with arma 3 Life.
So overall, they would have to give more than what they do at the moment, because im sure not everyone owns a house or an appartment, also, only being able to transfer for free to a EU server is garbage, server transfer should be FREE if your server is congested/blocked by SE to any servers that aren't in this predicament, add some materia 6 X5, 5mil gil and 200% exp bonus up to 70.
Yes what im requesting is crazy, but if they want people to get off balmung/gilgamesh, they need to step up the bribe.
The answer is quite simple, as far as balmung is concerned there simply isn't a possible incentive they could give that would get a large enough amount of people to leave that it would affect queues.
Heh. Cross-realm market board it is then!
We're already working on all kinds of things cross-world, might as well. Oh dear, but your common crafter would weep, weep I tell ya!
*shrug* I transferred off of Gilgamesh soon as I could to my current server. Got a house so I'm happy lol. Not like Coeurl isn't a "dead" server either so plenty of people around.
If they forced split, they need to give a few weeks before they do so, so people can figure out with friends/FC/family on where to go.
I still think the game suffers from people just AFKing for hours on end. Because HW didn't have all these ongoing, almost 2 weeks worth of problems
so people just chill out and afk. Pipinbahun killed us terribly. That and SE screwed us by allowing the loophole to Balmung transfer for far too long.
Balmung suffers as of late:
- Random 90k.
- EA was a mess, still suffering from it.
- Bursting population.
- New Expac out.
- DF broken every now and then.
- Crashes.
A lot of things going on so Q times are so damn bad lol.
It's a shame they took this long to stop the transfers. :/

There's always the incentive that keeps on giving - no queues. I transferred last week and still smile when I log on and have a 10 second queue of 1. I left my friends, I left my FC, I left everything and yeah that sucks but at the same time I've been able to actively play the game without jumping through hoops RL to make sure I get through the queue in time to play. I had some of my friends join me while others stayed. I stay in contact with them through discord and teamspeak. Half of my raid group stayed and the other half left but with cross server PF, that's a moot issue. I really don't think they need additional incentives.
Welcome, did you find the cookie plate okay?
Honestly folks if you think it's not worth your while to move then don't. I don't want folks who were only here because the bribe was too sweet. That will result in natives and newcomers alike being unhappy.
To be honest I was planning on transferring anyways but then the incentives came so all that happened was I saved the $18.
It's the answer we're always getting, the moment someone points out the obvious, but hey for the sake of the argument let me ask you this then.Uh, yeah. Many of us have been here BEFORE Balmung became this bad. Before you go off on your high horse and ignore all the connections we've made and the time we've put into this, consider the fact that a lot of us have been here before it became a problem. If SE really wants us to get off of Balmung, then they really need to do better. A lot of us are not sacrificing our connections for these measly incentives.
It could go either/or. Either SE can make a designated RP server and let us transfer to that server for free, or make Balmung a designated RP server and let those who want to transfer off of it for free.
As the server became overpopulated, and we are not talking about yesterday, we saw a lot of topics going up, trying to get any solution. SE locked the server and made it clear that you can't transfer to that server, nor can you create new characters, I don't agree with that step but that was something they thought would be great for the time being.
What did we see right after that happened?
Topics going up, complaining about new players unable to create even more characters on that server, veterans complaining that now they can't recruit new RP players. Instead of people saying well it might have been not the greatest idea, but it's a beginning lets see were this goes, we went this route of demanding to reopen the server. As well as people were complaining that now they need to leave the server but are not going to pay for it, demanding free transfer's.
Free transfers have been implemented as well as bonuses, guess what happen?
Right, people started saying that they are on the server since the beginning of the game, didn't have a choice back in the day. Now you have a choice but you won't take it and that's your right, however if that's the case then you can't sit here and demand even bigger bonuses, or complain about the queue times. You chose to stay on that server, and agree'd to tolerate/ignore the current ongoing issues and problematic, simple as that.
Funny tho, every time this but I have friends argument comes up, 10 minutes later after people found out there's free transfer's being offered, all that doesn't matter anymore. You even mentioned above, you wouldn't sacrifice your "connections" as it stands right now, due to the bonuses being bad, but that also implements that the moment this changes, you're more then willing taking it into consideration. Everybody for themselves, and then you wonder why people like me, telling you that you have 2 choices, or that other people don't take you serious at all.
Call it a high horse, if all it takes is stating the facts and obvious, then I am very proud of owning one.

Weird because in EU nobody had a problem transfering to Omega and making it overpopulated. That must be something of Balmung.
