Me and my gf are also waiting for an FC Transfer. We don't have a house since we're on Balmung so all we really want is to be able to transfer the fc itself with its ranks and Gill storage intact. We're hoping they at least do this before the new housing opens so we have a shot at an FC house in a new server.

If you don't have a house/airships, I don't know if I would wait. If you move from Balmung to a preferred server, you can take all of the gil by putting it on your characters. You'd have to restart the FC but ranking one up is honestly very quick if you're moving through stormblood. My FC from Balmung restarted on Coeurl last Tuesday night and we'll be rank 8 today with 14 of us.
