DPS why don't you know your rotations?

The issue is that they think they know their rotation, not that they don't want to do it. And with no in-game way to tell if you're doing well or not, there's no indication otherwise.

They simply need to add more halls, like the hall of the novice that is currently in the game. Make a hall of the intermediate and a hall of advanced. This would help, currently within the game its hard to really understand how your abilities work together. Take BLM for example, you start with blizzard and fire 1. Later you get blizzard and fire 2 which are AOE, but then you get blizzard and fire 3, which totally changes the way you play with no explanation on how to use these new skills. It then gets worse when fire and blizzard 4 are introduced.

I'm asking people why it is that they don't DPS as well as they could. I saw it in the entirety of Heavensward as well. Please stop going at such great lengths to misinterpret what I say.

Because when I try to find a rotation video its a slew of super fast ability weaving with little to no explanation and an unmentioned mandatory requirement of little to no lag. I play summoner and the rotation videos I have found are terrible. Excellent DPS numbers, but horrible explanation, if any. My connection is over 260ms, which, to translate, is really slow so ability weaving like they do in the videos is very hard. Give me a video or a small-ish text document with step by step, detailed instructions and I will absolutely learn the rotation.

Well I do know MY rotation.

Might not be the "best" or "right" rotation but it works good enough to kill stuff in solo content and dungeons.

You are kinda contradicting yourself. Anyway, no offence but, your thread is technically a "git gud scrubs" thread. In every game that has ever been created, there have always been people with lower skillset. And thats the way it is supposed to be. We arent all the same. The best we can do is help them as much as they can be helped, not judge em.

But seriously...why do DPS shy away from using AoE? Efficiency aside, its also frickin fun to see your screen spammed with numbers?!
That factor on its own is what puzzles me the most about people not using it.

See, now usually I don't use AoE on RDM because it gets me killed with no thanks to the godawful atrocity that is what tank threat has turned into. Okay, maybe four or more mobs after waiting ten seconds for the tank to get threat and then I get to that sweet scatter spam. As for how it's bad, it's bad compared to other casters.

And yes, DPS needed time to readjust to HW rotations, but they also had nowhere near as much change to their setups then as they do now with MNK probably being the sole exception.

The introduction of the new expansion plus this..... there's several people out there who think they know how to play certain classes when they dont even have them to a sufficient level on that character. yes it could be them playing on a alt but when they open their mouths / fingers and try to tell people how to play the character it can be rather annoying.

This isnt just related to rotations either, its the same with dungeons too people expect to much and dont give others a chance to explore for themselves cos they assume that everyone else is lazy and watches or reads a guide too.
