They should do dummy strikes like in Blade and Soul if anything. They actually have the boss mechanics or add mechanics on them. If you get hit you take no damage but you learn how to dodge while doing the rotations. They even include the downtime so you know when to pop your cds etc. Blade and Soul has a lot faster combat system too, so it's kinda required for them to have a dummy liek that. However a dumy like that in FF14 would been a great step really. I agree dummy do give you an idea how to use your rotation, but the new rotations are very straight forward than it used to be. They made less dot (1 dot less) and rotations, well combos have the dots included, so it's not as ''complex'' as before. The issue is people don't know when to rotate the debuff, buffs etc up. I'm talking about in a fight not in a dummy strike.

What about those who played heavenswar for over a year and stil slacked? The irony of looking for youtube guides when people say those people are elitist toxic players, but yet they learn from the best aka ''elitist'' they speak of.
I know and I'm pretty sure most know many will still fail a lot of the rotations, even when they made it 50% easier to do. Read on the forum or how players accept help in general on the game, there is the answer of why it's going to be like that still.

As a MCH main since HW, it's taken me forever to learn the current rotation, and even then I still feel like I lag behind even despite a lot of people saying I'm doing fine(not to brag)

At this point I'm willing to believe my class is just very "meh" right now.

I agree. Until you have a tank telling you, and I quote: "why are Aoeing all these mobs? Do you use enochian? I can give you the rotation". In which he proceeded to give me the 3.0 version.

At that point I stopped listening.

    Besides, I don't want to be quad-flared.

What annoys me is the people who create a PF and request you to watch a video before joining??? Are people brain dead? Take your time and BLOODY LEARN THE FIGHT AND LEARN YOUR ROTATIONS.
You should watch a video before going into the fight. Now that isn't to say because you watched the fight you will be expert, most people learn from doing and not listening. However, watching the video at least makes you somewhat familiar with what the fight is going to throw at you so it lessens the time required to learn the fight. It is a combination thing not a this or that argument
