You can't share apartment with another players like you would as a house, but you can let them enter your apartment by allowing guest access found under the housing sub-menu. Do take note that the guest won't be able to access items like retainer/crystal bells etc.

Hopefully you don't mind me hijacking the thread a little OP, I'd like to avoid creating a new thread since my question kinds of fall under the same title as well. Anyone tried to vacate an apartment before? Are you required to remove all furniture before you can vacate or will they be stored under a temporary NPC storage for a period of time?

Are you trying to world transfer to a new/preferred world? In which case, remove all items, because they will destroy the room as part of the process (and the items with it). They'll compensate you 500k for the items you can't remove (ceiling light, walls, etc), but actual specific items, take them or lose them.

Oh, yes you need to remove the items before you can remove the apartment (it literally won't let you while something is still inside). As you're probably aware, walls/light/floor customisations can't be removed and these will be lost when you demolish the apartment.
