You replied to a 5 year old post, I'm guessing level 70 at that time was max level, so not totally unreasonable
Damn necros
Not as ridiculous as it sounded, but still...I dont think people should be expected to go outside of game for information for non savage content, provided they do proper thinking about their skills on their own and are open to advice
There is a difference between knowing your basic rotation and knowing the perfect time to double weave and such. The latter isn't needed for dungeons and shouldn't be expected.
Now if you are going into content and being the equivalent of that THM that just alternates fire and ice spells, well thats a different story

But if the DPS in fact was dreadful, in a dungeon nontheless, I would assume that they don't have a basic knowledge of a rotation.Damn necros

Heck, just 2 days ago or so I did a trial where the tank kept spamming "Shield Lob" over and over a couple of times, while standing in melee range.

Have you played Black Mage before? Their rotation completely changes every ten levels. It's not like playing Dragoon or Red Mage where level 70 adds a new button and/or finisher to your class. The Black Mage rotation is thoroughly confusing simply because it's ever-changing. It's not the new player's fault for not yet realizing that his level 60 Black Mage rotation isn't cutting it at level 70. I find it rather jarring that the norm for forum players seems to be to expect everyone else in the world to log into Discord and research the optimal way to play their job before venturing forth into group content. Then these same players complain that the game is too easy and boring when they play with others whose default play style is effectively cheating. Trial and error is half the fun of playing a new game. If you can't deal with players who are still in that phase of exploration, then consider queueing with pre-formed groups and avoiding random players. Please realise though that level 70 with several months of playing means you're not new anymore and actually expected to perform well on your basic class rotations and such. If you're unsure: Please look up guides, find BLMs to ask for advice, play around with your class on a dummy or something - but stop using that excuse in a level 70 dungeon.

people learn at different rates, and some older gamers who did not actually grow up in the fully digital age will take longer to train muscle memory than many younger gamers, not even mentioning gamers with disabilities. you're off base here with your comment. BLM's, at this point in the game, have an exceedingly clumsy rotation, IMO. I'm amazed it still stands as a valid skill set.1) You want to remove that link right now. Naming and shaming is not tolerated here.
2) With a few months of experience and a level 70 character you're not excatly "new" anymore, at least not in my book - I'll probably sound like a jerk too, but I expect someone at level 70 to know how to play
3) Not excatly normal - but we also dont know what happend here. Right now I dont want to judge over wether or not he was actually rude or just not suger coating that your dps was bad and you need to look into your class more.
4) Parsing and shaming someone for that is a reportable offense -> thats your way to go there.

you said for the OP to "stop using that excuse", but I challenge you to stop being so arrogant.

Don't mind me as I queue roulettes for classes I don't play for the sole purpose of getting XP so I can level and get titles. Not everyone mains every single class or should be expected to perform at the level of someone who does. If you do, more power to you.1) You want to remove that link right now. Not sure how they could tell what your DPS is as all parsers are currently broken, as that is normal with every patch. Khaidal is right though, it's not normal, but you might still hear of stories from newer players about older players telling them what to do. That's usually done for friendly advice and not meant to demean.
You don't need a parser to tell if someone is not playing correctly if you have at least a basic comprehension of a job. It's even easier with BLM and RDM because you can see what they are casting. Not sure how they could tell what your DPS is as all parsers are currently broken, as that is normal with every patch. Ya I have ran into plenty of those people in DF for a long time.
They are the bane of Tank Job existance and are the reason why Tank players have been given certain bad reputation of being "needy".
Ignore him, and maybe blacklist him, as this encounter will only happen once in a while and most Tanks will be less jerks and more helpful.
However, just incase rememebr to mentally prepare yourself for Jerky Tanks because plenty of Jerk tier people seem to play Tank Jobs either to get things done faster or to feel "special" and "needed" by other people.

LOL @ that profile.
No Gobwalker mount.
No Arrhidaeus mount.
No wind-up Faust.
Not even a wind-up Louisoix.
If you ever see him again, tell him his entire gaming experience is a joke.
