Honestly i am surprised there has not been a thread like this or there may already be. Look i don't know why you lowered the potency for fire 4 and blizz 4 it makes no sense. For w/e reason i can barely solo in sb. I have to use the chocobo constantly. I had no problem whatsoever hw. It also makes me think you lowered the potency of fire3 and astral fire 3. I should be doing more than 4- 5 k fire4s. I should not be criting for a mere 10k. WTH. Having 270 gear at the start of sb should of given me an advantage. But with the potencys you made it worthless.

Go on, BLM is very strong

I suggest you get your BLM to 70 first because that is when you meet quad-flare+Foul. *drools*

All the changes helped BLM I don't see why you would say that.

I had no issues leveling blm. I had chocoholic out to help heal, as sometimes the wandering mob will link. But otherwise, thunder, and fire... Usually almost dead if not dead by the time it got within melee range.

Sounds like a skill issue if you are having trouble with mobs while leveling

Hardly a skill issue. While I was leveling my blm the mobs were destroying my health as well while my damage wasn't nearly as strong as it had been (duh leveling). I'd be brought to 25% hp while fighting 2 mobs at a time.

My boyfriend started out at i270 and didn't seem to have trouble with leveling. He says he feels stronger than he ever did in HW.

Lost 8% potency on Fire 4 / Blizzard 4

Gained easier uptime, better things to do in Blizzard time, the ability to fire4 6 times instead of 4 / maybe 5 if stars aligned in a single fire phase, leylines mobility, AoE thunder, Direct Hit, Foul, the return of Double, Triple, and Quadruple flares.

I'd say Black Mages got out good, even before comparing this to other jobs.
