But... Crit doesn't have any impact whatsoever on DH. They are two wholly independent stats that can merely stack if the rng lines up right. It's the DH that crits, its that your attack both registered a DH and a Crit. And its easy to see the flaw in your idea that both would need to work in conjunction, because both would need reliable weights unto themselves and right now one is gimped and another is still 'okay'. Besides that, if they are now pushing for Tanks to only have both for there to be significant effect... then they need to just stop.

So the idea you have is to use the HIT stat you want to use? Not get both. Just one? So you would choose whichever one gave you the highest damage and highest rates of HITS? In my perspective, if you can increase your DIRECT HIT you can also increase your CRITICAL HIT. The flaw is in your logic to think they are independent when they are in the same group of properties. That's like saying DET doesn't effect DIRECT HIT or CRITICAL HIT and it shouldn't affect the output of damage done from ATTACK POWER. This is why I made my comment.
