Skillspeed affects the amount of damage in DoT and recast timers of weaponskills not auto attack. Auto attack is not DoT. The speed and frequency in which your auto attack occurs is on the weapon. It's the AUTO-ATTACK and DELAY.

Really SE?
Could you be any lazier? don't hype up new stats if they are going to have garbage scaling.
Unfortunately, as posted already, Tenacity scales like crap. Whatever is in my gear is a keeper but i'm definitely not melding for it. Det/crit/str is still the way to go (for us warriors)
What people are doing now is taking their old i270 accessories that are Slaying and using them now I wish we had the old system where Vit gave us damage. Tenacity is bad and we're back in the Str tanking meta focus again so who knows how this'll end why do they mess around with tank stats so much and deliver them so poor i'll never understand.

tenacity is the new parry. just ignore it like the plague. looks like crit det and sks are the way to go. nothing changed
even especially that melded str acc from last patch were bis. man look at 3.0 happeneing again. i guess well go back to str/vit split in 4.2 because tanks are dealing too much damage apparently and dont have super health points

I think this is bugged, it does not make sense that they would add this in this state since it was to get rid of parry and be beneficial stat that is unique to tanks etc. Going crit/det and dh seems to be the way now. I put some ten on my gear and ya it made no difference that was noticeably

Knowing SE, they probably didn't even expect people to go and look "how much" it increased the stuff it is said to increase. They're trying to hide that sort of stuff after all.
According to the stat weights at the time, most of the i280 Diadem weapons needed around 100 of "any" useful secondary (Read: Anything not piety or parry) to pull even with the Anima and Yoshida went ahead in an interview to tell people they are just plain worse.
Pretty sure they figured just telling people:"Hey, this new thing not only makes you harder to kill, it also increases your damage, YOUr DAMAGE! The thing you've always been after! Isn't that cool? Hey, are you listening?!"
would suffice.
I remember Yoshi-P saying "anima weapons are the strongest" and people trying to defend him.Knowing SE, they probably didn't even expect people to go and look "how much" it increased the stuff it is said to increase. They're trying to hide that sort of stuff after all.

And people were like "oh you need to listen to what he said in context". I heard what he said and I agreed with him on the RNG aspect. That still doesn't mean that i280 weapons > i275 weapons. Like, he literally said strongest instead saying it's your best bet or something.
Well, I submitted a bug report, we'll find out soon.
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ng-as-intended
According to this
https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...talk_tenacity/
"Fast Blade Average Before Tenacity - 1048.52
Fast Blade Average After Tenacity - 1052.88
That's a WHOPPING .414% Damage increase, 2.66% Increase with 1750 Tenacity
Clemency Average Before Tenacity - 7134.96
Clemency Average After Tenacity - 7183.36
Oh baby, .673% Heal increase on clemency, 4.32% increase with 1750 Tenacity
Stone Hit Average Before Tenacity - 1795.60
Stone Hit Average After Tenacity - 1785.88
a .541% Damage decrease over 216 Tenacity. 3.47% increase with 1750 Tenacity."
The gains are EXTREMELY small. So low it has no effect on anything. Is it supposed to be like this? It doesn't even sound worth melding with such low returns.
The scaling seems to be very poor indeed. Not sure why they even bother with such small impact from huge amounts of tenacity. If this is meant to be the tanking Stat, then stacking or not should have a truly apparent impact on our performance, otherwise it's a pointless statistic - just like parry.
Just like parry...
