    Is Tenacity working as intended?

    According to this

    "Fast Blade Average Before Tenacity - 1048.52
    Fast Blade Average After Tenacity - 1052.88

    That's a WHOPPING .414% Damage increase, 2.66% Increase with 1750 Tenacity

    Clemency Average Before Tenacity - 7134.96
    Clemency Average After Tenacity - 7183.36

    Oh baby, .673% Heal increase on clemency, 4.32% increase with 1750 Tenacity

    Stone Hit Average Before Tenacity - 1795.60
    Stone Hit Average After Tenacity - 1785.88

    a .541% Damage decrease over 216 Tenacity. 3.47% increase with 1750 Tenacity."


    The gains are EXTREMELY small. So low it has no effect on anything. Is it supposed to be like this? It doesn't even sound worth melding with such low returns.

    Yeah its absolutely trash, to the point that its best to meld direct hit on our gear and ignore all new accessories and use i270 STR accessories instead.

    They really messed up tanks. Cant wait to go through another set of content and not want 1/2 the drops intended for tanks all over again.

    /sigh

    How can it be that they can do so many things right and mess up something like this *twice*?

    I've been saying tenacity isn't gonna be any better than parry, if they made the increases too high it would kill off determination or be a required stat for survival which would be absurd for a secondary stat. But with the increase being so low it's just going to end up being the stat we avoid unless it's the only thing available to us.

    As for STR/VIT I don't understand why they stopped using the STR/VIT mix that was working nicely, or at least start putting some STR on our fending accs even if less than on slaying.

    Honestly it's so low that I think it seems bugged, I get that it shouldn't be too powerful but it certainly should be better than direct hit on a tank.

    Ooookay so I think I know what happened then.

    The programmers were like "Right, Parry is now Tenacity. We don't wanna manually go in and replace it everywhere so we'll just write a FOR loop that replaces Parry with Tenacity on everything and then change what stats that affects."
    Not realizing that they needed to change THE CALCULATION as well.
    So now Tenacity does all those things... at Parry's abysmal rate.

    Been using Direct Hit as my melds lately and noticed nothing different except for a dps gain versus tenacity, hope they fix this up :\!

    When you go to meld Direct Hit into Tank gear it does not show "Direct Hit" as a possible stat at the bottom of the meld screen. Strength, Vitality, Crit, Det, Skill Speed, and Tenacity show up at the bottom with their respective stat caps though.

    This leads me to believe Direct Hit does absolutely nothing on Tanks. It also doesn't appear naturally as a secondary stat on Tank gear.

    You can get crit direct hit on tanks, it has been confirmed. Dervy also confirmed that direct hit rate at base value (364) is 0% so yeah direct hit stat works on tanks.
