I would also argue that if its a fight that would benefit from you having sheltrons available early on. than starting with magic rotation to build oath gauge fast in shield oath stance would be preferred. The damage between starting with the Magical rotation (unbuffed Goring Blade into Requiescat -> Holy Spirit) and the Physical rotation (Goring Blade -> Royal Authority combos while under Fight or Flight) is pretty small. If anything, I'd say it depends on the fight mechanics. If it's a boss that requires you to move around a lot very early into the pull, the Goring Blade under Fight or Flight would be the better starter since it and Royal Authority can be done while staying mobile. If it's a fight that lets you sit in one spot at the start of the pull for a decent chunk of time, the Magical Rotation would be the better option.
This really only applies for coordinated raids, but aligning the Holy Spirit spam under Requiescat with other raid buffs (like Trick Attack, Hyper Charge, Littany, etc) is better than aligning the FoF rotation. The damage between starting with the Magical rotation (unbuffed Goring Blade into Requiescat -> Holy Spirit) and the Physical rotation (Goring Blade -> Royal Authority combos while under Fight or Flight) is pretty small. Personally I find starting off with physical to be more fluid because it does feel good to go from buffed by FoF to being buffed by requiescat with no gap. and after doing some mental math in my head without any kind of 3rd party tools ;>_> The difference is negligible, starting with holy spirit did more damage to begin with but then it slowly dropped due to requiescat not being buffed by FoF. While the physical rotation started lower but just kept rising until it capped off, they pretty much ended up in the same place in the long term.

I dunno if this is right or not, but I've been doing
Step 1
Goring combo
Royal Combo
Holy spirit x2
Step 2
Goring combo
royal combo x2
Requiscat
Wait till you get back to step 1
Goring combo
Requiscat
Holy spirit until you're out of mp
revert to step 2
I've been using this as my ''dps'' rotation, because that fits in 2 holy spirits and the alternating makes sure I always have enough MP to make full use of Requiscat whenever it comes back around along with some help from sheltron, which I would always substitute the Requiscat casts in after a Royal x2 step
