I think Yoshi said before (a couple of months ago) that its not possible currently due to the coding and that the whole glamour system would have to be redone from scratch to make it work that way.
And that simply is quite low on their priority list for now...

that being said, its REALLY one of my biggest pet peeves in the game currently.
