Useless CD. If u know how to play, u don't ned it at all. Do ur hate rotation during swap, and OT do its DPS rotation. All will be ok. You can avoid this skill really

Shrik seems not worth taking to me at all. I ran both ex primals so many times got full gear from both and never saw any tank use this ability. I use Rampart, Provoke, Convalescence, Reprisal, and Awareness. I have no issues with tank swaps what so ever and have been tanking since 1.0 on Paladin. You have your enmity combo ready for after you provoke and the other tank isn't going to take it off you. OT should be in dps stance at this point and he should never take the boss from you since in 4.0 they made it so tanks don't use their enmity combo as part of their dps rotatoin.

Shirk is not really about tank swaps (although it doesn't hurt), it is allowing the tanks to forgo the enmity combo and also Tank a lot of the time outside of tank stance without ever worrying about aggro.
If you provoke and instantly shirk it is basically an instant 25% enmity increase. Very strong in coordinated groups.
Also there is no real alternative if the fight doesn't need stun or silence.

OMG, this is gold. To my signature, you go.
Uhm, well. With Shrik none of the tanks need to use their emnity combo, or even swap stances. They just voke, and you give them shrik without interrupting your DPS rotation. I tank Susano Ex with Sword Oath, so does the other tank.Shrik seems not worth taking to me at all. Or with Shirk, neither tank needs to lose DPS with their enmity combos OR being in tank stance. It's free enmity for days.Shrik seems not worth taking to me at all. The best part of Shirk is that you don't have to do enmity combo when you get the boss. You can just stay doing your normal DPS rotation because you already have enough enmity from the Main Tank.
I've not tackled Lakshmi yet, but with Susano I've had no troubles tanking him in Sword Oath, and my healers haven't complained. It's a difference between 10k autos in sword and 8k autos in shield. With 46k hp that's only 1 auto difference before he kills me assuming I don't get healed at all for some reason. Rampart and Shelltron or Sentinel and Shelltron or even Hallowed Ground will get you through every Stormsplitter easily. The only time tanking in that fight can get sketchy is during the lightning stun segments where the whole party has to keep moving, and I usually try to save Rampart and Convalescence for that phase. Tanking phase three Susano in sword oath is easy.
He's actually far more dangerous in the first phase with untelegraphed Assails hitting you for 30k+, but I'm in shield for a large portion of that phase so it doesn't matter.

Mostly for tank swaps, so tanks can maintain their dps combo or doesn't have to swap their stances to perform a tank swap safely. Or use it to kill a target party member that you don't like.
I wouldn't say that, I know some healers react kinda...rabidly when I took a boss using shield oath and they deemed it wasn't necessary. Depends on the heal.
