So how was your Tanking experience so far?

I played my Paladin to 70 in 2 Days and went into 40 ish experts already (primals excluded) and i gotta say its stunningly boring..... i never regreted to level a tank before a DPS so much... The Whole Game play is: run into a Group, Spam flash, Spam your AOE attack and circle of scorn once in a while. Done. All the Mechanics seem to go on the DPS when it comes to Bosses. (But maybe thats just boring to me because i played Warrior before and went Paladin after the heavy nerf)

Bossfights its almost the Same. Almost nothing to do for me than standing there and do my rotation.

The new Sets ofc only look good on Female characters because on Males the shoulders are way our of proportion. (Way to small and not fitting!)

Im Rerolling Samurai now.... 40 minutes Wait list for a Dungeon YAY!

The lack of mercy stroke somehow irritates me..anyhow not much of an issue for PLD as i managed to actually solo tank that shinryu fight with just one tank. (PLD is really too OP).
Another issue i encounter in 70 content is that DPS tends to gain so much aggro so it's kinda a pain.

I'm loving paladin this time around. Adding a second phase to our dps rotation gives the class a depth they didn't really have before, and our potency increases across the board finally brought us up to where WAR and DRK were last expansion.

Warrior feels pretty good. It feels like it has a smoother and less clunky playstyle. I enjoy it. Aggro seems weaker, but let's be real--aggro was WAY too high before. The new cooldown is really fun, and i love punching the shit out of people too. Beast gauge cost on Onslaught is constrictive but there have been times where I've gotten use out of it.

What about Warrior feels good? For me it feels like it has slowed down considerably. I'm holding onto hope it gets better when I hit 70 but I'm not feeling very hopeful about that at the moment.

um have we been playing different classes? this post reminds me of those people who get paid to leave good reviews for buisnesses on yelp because its so vastly different from what i and the community at large are feeling. clunky IS the only word i can use to describe it now. they removed the extremely fluid playstyle and synergy of the class and turned it into this clunky as hell mess with the stupid l penalty of stance swapping and all the on the go math of min maxing your rotation as to not leave any effective potency on the table. im baffled by how anyone who played 3.0 war can possibly think this feels better.and they put the skill cap through the roof and the floor as low as possible. there will be over a 1000 dps difference between a good war and a bad war as it stands because its so easy to play sub optimally. top it off with the fact that it has the lowest party utility and nearly identical damage to drk and pld and there really is no place for warrior in a raid anymore.

I decided to lvl DRK even despite all the changes and I gotta say... its merely a shadow of the shell of its former self. I didn't mind tanking in lower lvl roulettes before the changes and now it's a struggle to get through them because it's so boring. I'm almost lvl 70 now and I still haven't been excited about any of the new skills I got. In my opinion, most of the lvl 60-70 skills are redundant and competing with other skills..in addition to that if you really want to max out your damage you have to use Dark Arts before certain skills in your combo, well now you have to use it 2-3 times per combo if you wanna do any damage, this change really broke up the fluidity the DRK had and now it just feels clunkier.
I love the SB dungeons themselves, but they just haven't as fun to run through on tank classes for me.

Well so far tanking still the same, pull,CDs an burn, wash an repeat.
but my love for warrior its on the floor after using it since 1.0 main a warrior always a warrior ,once i hit 70 i will drop it for a DPS until SE brings back the warrior, feels slow to fill gauge, clunky because of high penalty on dance no utility an lost what makes warrior a warrior..self sustain if anything the class is broken for me compare to before.
SB tanking nerf experiencev4 /10 for me.

WAR 68 and I enjoy many of the new changes. The gauge feels more fluid than the stack system and it feels more priority based on your combos rather than a strict rotation. With the increased timing of self buff from Storm's eye, you can fit in more combos before having to reapply it whether that's spamming path if you have hate or are off tanking for additional skills or weaving in Butcher's if someone's catching you in enmity. The loss of gauge in stance dance does hurt and can feel kind of clunky but it's made me consider more tactical dances as I try to use what's necessary to deplete my gauge as much as possible prior to switching. That being said, it does suck being locked out of Inner Beast if the MT goes down and a quick swap is needed.

As far as the dungeons themselves, I feel ridiculously squishier. I've yet to fully determine if this was just a few poor healers, it being leveling dungeons that I don't grossly outgear or my lack of tenacity for the first 5 levels due to the previous meta, or my sudden lack of self heals. It's likely some combination of all 4. Doing a double pull at the beginning of Bardam's Mettle though was terrifying more than once, though.

Whether WAR will have a solid spot at endgame though it's still too early for me to tell.

there is an extremely static, strict and long rotation to maximize this class and you always have to be vigilant as to not for instance swap on anything other than 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100 as it halves to a value of 5 which is unusable and therefore you lose the effective potency of whatever skill you used prior. you also have to be aware that if you are in a situation that path would put you over the maximum 100 gauge that you should use eyesince itis higher potency and you gain no more effective potency by going past the 100. lots of little things that complicate the class now.
