When teaming up for queues, the tanks lose their 'Adventurer in Need' bonus, so they need to compensate their 'losses' with extra gil.
After all, money can be used to buy goods and services.

I'm not judging or telling you to do anything different, you do you, however, the idea that helping others out with content is bad is a weird one to me, and the general attitude towards helping others in this thread has not been good, I'm extremely disappointed by it if I'm honest.

i can explain why this is.
so,i am a tank.
tanking is hardest job of all in all game and in DF,i meet a lot of rude and nasty people there who like to tell me how to play how i am bad how they are so good yet they don't want to play tank
so now we got this expansion and i didn't like any of the new classes much so i am war,you want me to go and get these people insta queus for nothing, while i get nothing out of it
still,i want to level red mage too.who is going to tank for me?i queue and wait 40 min just like everyone else
noone does anything for me ,why should i be a slave so people enjoy the game more?what about my enjoyment?
what makes you think you deserve a slave labourer who is there to make your gaming experience more fun and smooth while getting nothing in return?
i want to level dps classes ,too
i waited 40 min on my 31 ninja yesterday
i don't get free tanks
what makes those people think they are entitled to one?

Partially incorrect. Tanks only lose that bonus if it's a full premade. If you take along one or 2 DPS and zero healers for example, you're still pulling someone from the DF pool and therefore you still get your bonus.
Source: Hard experience from doing it myself.
White Mage ~ Sage ~ AstrologianBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
I usually go with a friend of mine, which is a healer - We split the cash and go on our ways. Enough DPS around that they'll consider our offers.
