Please do not nerf the final boss

You realize that the patch with Nidhogg was near the end of 3.0 right? And this is at the very start of 4.0 right? This fight is more akin (in terms of pacing) to fighting Thordan. As before you do a final named storyline dungeon, and then a trial right after it. Exactly when you did it against Thordan. There will be another great villain to deal with in 4.0 they will reintroduce no doubt.

Yes, and Thordan was the final boss of 3.0. I realize that there will be subsequent big bads up until 5.0, but Shinryu is the final boss of Stormblood proper.

Just because Shinryu isn't the final boss of the entirety of Stormblood doesn't mean he should be as much of a faceroll trashcan as Thordan.

My point is that none of the fights pertaining to MSQ have been too difficult, this one included.

It's a lot of similar mechanics just with small tweaks, then you cleave the tail when it comes down. There's no need to tweak this fight. SE already gives you ilv290 gear at 70, so go get that and come back.

I was more nervous b/c that active time thing kept coming up from people, I was on controller so that didn't mean much at all. Then again, you want to button tap go play Dragon Ball GT, Final Bout and win a power struggle.

I'll put up a spoiler warning for the 4.0 ending because I haven't yet, though it should be safe considering this thread is about the final boss:

Shinryu is the final boss of Stormblood, that is fact. The way the story is told means that the liberation of ala mhigo ended in 4.0. This is different from HW where the dragonsong war ended in 3.3, as the main villain, Nidhogg, was not dealt with until then. Vishap also was not the final boss of ARR, Gaius and Ultima Weapon were, Vishap was the prologue to HW.

You are right that there will be a continuation of the story, probably involving fordola and yotsuyu, but the final boss is Zenos/Shinryu

I agree , took me about 6 to 7 different parties to beat it but it feels good when you do it
