Additional Races

I know they will probably never add any more races to the game but wanted to post anyways.

I would like to know what other people would think about adding addition races. I for one would like to see races like the Viera and maybe even a fox race for me. The addition of more races would create more diversity in the player population. Its a little crazy how many tarus and mithra there are.

The game is being completely redone in 2.0 so they can do it without that much more work. With that being redone it wouldn't be so bad to have the lore redone.

Yoshi-P mentioned during the live interviews that he liked the idea of additional races, so it just might happen. I'm all for the diversity and additional fantasy feel it would add to the game. It wouldnt even really take all "that" much lore. Just an expansion with a new island or something off the coast of Eorzea with this new race.

I want me a fox race though! I would love to have it so much. If anyone is wondering yes I'm a fox nut.

We're getting the missing genders of the current races for sure, and they've mentioned adding something like a dragonkin race. I'm sure that's not the only idea they have floating around.

The big problem is that since this game isn't like WoW or SW:ToR where you can have as many characters as you want and they only have 1 class each, every character you make is a lot more meaningful. So they need to add some way to change races or something. Maybe once for free every time a new race is implemented, and for a small fee otherwise. $3-5 or something like that.
