Thanks for the link OP. I saw these on Twitter too, I was on my phone so I didn't click on it though XD. 50 minutes isn't bad, I can have it going while I'm doing my crafting and gathering :3.

It's actually a pretty high production documentary for being a crowdfunded project. There are some issues with the subtitles, however it's nothing that the team can't fix, before they have a final production for their supporters, as well as (I can only imagine) having it available for purchase later.

He's no longer with Square Enix, as he left the company in 2012 for health reasons, and then a few months later a consultant for GungHo Online Entertainment, a Japanese game developer (Puzzles & Dragons fame)

Oh man this is such an incredible documentary. For 1.0 players like me that stuck with it and forced themselves on I'm sure we all noticed how well done certain parts of the game were and these interviews really shed some light on what happened from the developer's perspective.

I just can't stress enough though how in love I am with Yoshi-P. The man is a god.

I watched this last night. Naoki Yoshida, to me, is very inspirational. He's clearly a genius. He analyzed what was wrong with 1.0, broke down each part into fragments, and then tried to tackle and fix each segment. He even looked at the company as a whole and how the company's vision needed to change. He was literally a worker who had experience analyzing how things worked in game development, and saw how things needed to change. Not only for 1.0, but stressing how the company had to create games. I would literally send him a chest full of beer if I could to show my appreciation for all that he's done.
