Are we playing the same Tank? Because I stance dance just fine. You can't do it on the fly exactly like before, but it only takes half of whatever your current Beast Gauge is. So usually I'll throw out IB to get defense buff which will drop me down to low amount so when I switch stances it doesn't penalize me as badly.

It does penalize you because you're losing 200 potency when you use Inner Beast instead of Fell Cleave. Vice versa the same thing happens. If you spend your gauge in Deliverance, you need to rebuild the gauge in Defiance, which is also a DPS loss.
