Well the first thing I noticed is that it doesn't have drag and drop for action buttons on my bars with my mouse. I am like this is pretty cumbersome why wouldn't they have a basic feature that like every other game has.

It's not a basic feature for console games -- Which XIV is also being designed for as well (and you can't have your console version being radically different from your PC version on a base level), thus the UI is being designed with both games in mind at present time.
When they create separate UIs then drag and drop will be implemented, till then it's not that much different just selecting actions to equip, takes about the same amount of time.

i like it, it has a few things I dont get, like why show my skills twice? or why show traits when its always same and the icons are all identical and still no drag and drop.

I like it but the lack of drag and drop did erk me a but but I guess that will appear in 2.0 it's a step in the right direction
Drag and Drop is most likely a system that would be implemetned and affect a wide part of the configuration (and perhaps other?) aspects of the system. I feel if they would put that in, now is probably not when it needs to go in. On the grand list of Priorities (which is how they determine what goes in when), drag & drop is lower on the list than what they have put in so far. Perhaps in a later release (perhaps if they revisit the entire text editing, as it is rather 'clunky/slow' when typing in macro names and actions).
But still, this dialog is soooo amazingly pretty to look at. Although now I'm distracted by the Achievements dialog which also looks very pretty ^^. I think they hired on a new graphics design lead ^^;

Agreed the dev team did a good job with this, hopefully the upcomming UI/mouse/keyboard changes will be just as awesome.
To the post above I was under the impression that UI is the next thing on the list of things to be tackled after battle changes.
