Will SE ever do something about our legs when doing some battle animations? Everytime I cast heal or some animation while walking, I float, without moving my legs, and it has already been 2 Expansions!![]()

Be careful what you ask for...
Back in beta, archer/bard had some cool animations.
But people complained about the 'floating', and they were changed so that the upper and lower parts of the character animated seperatly for attacks...
We lost some nice animations back then...
This bothers me so much as well.... Most of the time i look like i wear rollerblades and im gliding on the ground when i cast things... The animations need a lot of work tbh... general movement too..
I don't know how can most players be ok with this. They keep on making these floaty animations even for 4.0.
I never realized this was an actual concern for people :/ I've noticed the lack of leg movement when you move before finishing a cast time, but honestly if I'm moving at all I'm generally more bothered by WHY I'm moving, which usually is something that might kill me if I spend too much time looking at my toon's legs.
(I also think it's hilarious tbh)
I like the floaty animations.
Seriously, I don't understand why square thinks the weird goofy skating animations that they have going on is ok. There is a RDM animation where the RDM stabs their sword into the ground and hopes on it and does a backflip while hurling ethereal swords at the enemy but does it lock in place like it should? No you can still slip and slide 100% throughout the whole animation. Is it that big of an issue? No, but it is Jarring and immersion breaking as fuk.
Whenever they did Wide Volley and Rain of Death at the same time Their lower half did the backflip and and their upper half aimed upwards.Be careful what you ask for...

You (A) take partial animations and locked-in but fluid movement during animation (see BDO, for example), (B) get floating and seemingly context-less animations (parry sidestep stab thing... as a rear combo), or (C) have incredibly simple ones (a la WoW).
Most people accept it because they remember the old, unfloaty/skaty animations. When animation lock was a thing and made dodging AoE's much more difficult.
