Possible issue with original 20 sightseeing log?

I've just recently gotten around to the first sightseeing log. I figured with the early access issues and all the new housing slots it was a good way to pass the time.

After getting to log number 9 and spending over two hours trying to jump to the vista, I did not get any closer to reaching the spot. I had several friends also try to no avail. I'm wondering if it is just a me and my clumsy friends issue, or something related to any recent changes in the game.

Can someone who has had better luck before give it a shot, and let me know if you're not encountering the same issue? I'd appreciate it more than I can say.

Also, apologies if I posted this in the wrong place. I just made my best guess where it should go.

I just confirmed it can be done. I first did it with Ninja, for the Fleet Foot trait, slightly faster movement speed (although not honestly sure if it applies while sprinting).

The important thing to note with that one is the rack you need to jump from. It's incredibly narrow, but you have to jump from on top of the rack, because it's just a little bit higher than the cupboard before it. So, gotta start Sprinting on top of the cupboard, and as soon as you step on that rack and get that elevation, jump, and that's the best chance of making it.

Does seem a whole lot harder without NIN, though. But possible. Also just did it on BLM.

Not sure about this specific one (am not home so cannot verify), but I've gotten on top of some old sightseeing log entries since SB for fun and giggles and noted no changes :/ some of these places are hard to reach though and require fair bits of practise... if you do have people helping and they manage to get to the spot, you can drag mobs over, let them kill you and have your friend revive you :P

So my platforming IS just that bad! Lol! Still, it is a huge relief that it can be done. I'll give it another shot come the time for it.

I really appreciate the confirmation and advice! Thanks very much.

It can be done. Note that if you on the PC, you may have to cap your framerate at 30. I had to do that for some of the jumps in the ARR zones, cause you had to land on a tiny tiny spot.

There's also a chance albeit small that latency may be an issue. I learned this firsthand when I was the only one of several friends that couldn't make a jump onto a roof in Mist. On a recent visit to my friend in the united states, We tried it again and the jump as almost impossibly easy, I could make it several times in succession. When I got back home, I was unable to make the jump anymore.

The first sight seeing log was not so much sightseeing as environment glitch spelunking. It's full of obnoxious paths that require standing on hidden/small platforms to get to obscure places. Also I am not sure if they alleviated this any but some of them also have time/weather constraints.
