    Red Mage Enchanted Sword skills need a change.

    Personally Only being able to use swords skills when your mana is at 100 percent to get full advantage of the combo is very boring and it needs a change.

    I think that they should raise the potency of the base attacks while the enchanted versions of each attack would cause different effects based on which mana level is raised higher.

    Maybe an enchanted Moulinet could cause a stun when the black mana is at 100 percent.
    and would consume 25 white mana to do an off heal based on how many targets you hit.

    Just something to give basic sword skills more use and add situational benefits to the enchanted skills.

    The entire point of the job including within the lore is to maintain a balance between black and white magic, teachings coming through the abuse of aforementioned magic. Having the job purposefully have magic imbalance (minus the very minor having one mana being at least one point higher than the other for verflare/holy) defeats the purpose of the job.

    should really all be the same skill that changes based on what mana you have higer and atleast do slightly different things because they all currently do the same thing with the same damage potency and again... boring.
    Finding the balance between them could be something else.
    The class needs help. Stop Fanboying like its ok.
    I say this a a person who wants to play the red mage and sees its potential.

    Explain how the job needs help. because it's not a magical jack-of-all-trades job like it is in some other final fantasies? The job is fine. In fact it can still do some potent healing so whatever. Their DPS is good, AoE spam is boring for everyone.

    it needs help because 6 of its skills are literally the same skill so there are only really 3. No other class has this. 3 of its skills can only be used super rarely and always in the same rotation.
    I actually like the toolset of the red mage. I'm not super happy with the way they are making us use it.

    Here is what I don't like about all these threads. The message isn't "The class is broken/unplayable/not-competative." It's, "This isn't EXACTLY how I imagined Red Mage." Stormblood has just stared, play the class. Master it as it is. RAID with it, and then tell us if there is something enormous wrong with it. Maybe there is nothing wrong with the class other than you just don't like it, and that is fine. Play a different class then.

    "we need something" like building different mana and needing a slightly imbalanced gauge for our finisher?

    Oh look another complaint thread about how Red Mage isn't living up to your dreams. Jesus christ. Also you only need 80 of each to get Enchanted sword skills. It doesn't take long at all. You only spend about 30 seconds from the start of the fight out of the range. Your opener gets you to 80 in 7 GCDs and after that its about 6-8 GCDs max to get back to 80/80. The flow is just fine.
