Lost Ifrit Loot

Beat Ifrit with 199/200 inventory. Got a "You are unable to obtain Ifrit's Battleaxe" message. This is so incredibly frustrating that words cannot express how angry I am. This is not an issue of my fault. I only had 1 slot(and only got 1 drop, the weapon, oh and gil) , so I assume what happened was that the Dark Matter hadn't sorted itself into the already existing stack, and counted it my inventory as full for a split second. Long enough to lose the weapon.

I swear, if this issue goes ignored, I'm quitting.

I'm not threatening SE, simply stating a fact. You want to make the drop rates ludicrously low and random, you should at least empathize with a heavy loss like this. Period.

I think that posting this on the forum won't help you. A better option was to immediately warn a GM. He might be able to solve it, but the chance is still pretty small
I understand that you'll defend yourself with 'I had 1 more slot', but i bet they will defend themself with 'For safety you better have ...'.

I would totally rage when i got that message, but I think it's best to ask a GM instead of the forums.
This is a good warning for other players though.

His argument is completely valid. He had an open spot and that should be enough to receive one item. If he doesn't receive it, it's a bug.

In case this happens again in the future, you can go into your inventory and discard something after getting the message, then recheck the box. Your loot stays in the box until you obtain it or leave the instance. I have tested and confirmed this in both Ifrit and moogles.

yeaaaahhhh... What Laela said. You can definitely touch the chest a second time after messing with your inventory to receive what is in the chest. People in my linkshell drop their old ifrit weapon and receive their new one as a means to save darkmatter (I lol everytime) and get a "free repair".

So yeah, this is REALLY your fault haha.

No, I made this thread first, obviously in the wrong thread. So I made one in the appropriate forum assuming this one would have been closed.

Making pointless replies in both threads in a very troll-like manner doesn't help either. Also, your stance on how this is my fault is wrong. Just plain incorrect. It is a technical issue, a bug, wherein someone is unable to obtain something for whatever reason when the space IS, in fact, available.

Had I know you could recheck the chest, that would have been something neat. Unfortunately, like I stated, I had the room therefore assumed I got it, and didn't read the text outside the blue weapon text in my excitement. That was my fault. Not being able to obtain it, SE's. Go troll elsewhere. (Yes, I know what the actual definition of trolling is.)

I would not even call a GM if this is anything like FFXI you can only get 1 item back from calling a GM i don't think you want to waste your 1 item back limit for a ifrit axe

i hope ffxiv does not have that limit tho that would suck i lost a lot of item in ffxi but never call for it due to the fact that one day i may lose something i really want back.

Oh, don't worry. I already called a GM, in fact it was the first thing I did. In the time it took them to respond in-game, I had already went to the Support Center website and submitted a ticket. The response? "Please visit the official Support Center website and submit a ticket, thanks." Good one GMs! Never thought of that.
