Do people even know how frontlines work?

PvP is definitely not the main element of the game and it's actually horrible, but it's by far the only proper way of catching up to the MSQ in stormblood for dps players. Now what frustrates me is the amount of people that have no idea how frontlines actually work. I can't count the times today that I've had a pvp match where people would just keep chasing into enemy lines ALONE. People even ignoring crystals right next to them, just because they want to kill something.

Worst part is that I've seen games where it's literally less than 200 points vs two alliances that are already at 900+.

Frontlines is basically super casual mode. It is mindless silly deathmatches for most people. Now to be fair, I play seriously and my performances (Both in winrate and personal success with getting Battle Ferver) but, I equally recognize outside of marks for glamour gear and a few achievements, there is no incentive to actually win.

Go in looking for a fun time and just be happy when you win. You will be less upset. You could also play Ranked Feast with a team for serious PvP.

Well I wouldn't play pvp if I had a choice, but thanks to the addition of a certain class named samurai there's a lack of healers. I personally really want to play RDM, but because hte current dps queue is close to 40-50mins per dungeon it's just smarter to do pvp for 700k+ exp with 10mins of playing...

You're lucky to evem get that.
We get people AFKing all the time.
No one cares because they are just wanting the EXP for it.
On Aether server, TA almost always loses and have been for years even before the EXP.
    So in short, no lol.

    They deleted that mode :s

I'm not having much trouble in Frontline but the healer deficit is extremely noticeable! It's brutal out there with all of the new DPS players not understanding how frail they really are, but still fun.

Oh shoot, did not even notice XD.

For players looking to rack up and do work, I highly recommend SMN and BRD. Both do tremendous work for long distance (Now that they removed the distance penalty.

BRD will allow you to silence healers and then burn them with Army's -> Barrage -> Empyreal Arrow.

    SMN just hurts.

There are a lot of recent new players, so there's plenty of people who don't know how frontlines work. Then there's people who never bothered to learn how frontlines work or don't care. The best thing you can do is just try to lead if you want to win. That being said I don't think it matters unless you're farming for glam.

My advice is find a healer or tank buddy. I mean, this is a MMO.

I'm new to Frontlines. I have never bothered to PVP in FFXIV. I only started because of the insane experience given out since SB landed, regardless of win or loss.

It only took me two to three runs to figure out what to do and what not to do...

What I'm more concerned about is SE nerfing the experience gained on a loss.

With all these people afking in Frontlines (I make sure to watch out for these people and kick them when I can) and with the people who obviously don't care about winning (I've heard people say this in chat), enough people are going to complain about these things that SE will most likely cut the experience gain from a loss in an attempt to stop this kind of behavior. So I implore the lazy fks, please put a minor amount of effort into each match? You will ruin it for all of us, yourself included.
