In the Lore, it seem we can split ourselves into 4?

Well, in the level 67 dungeon at Azim Stepp. We have to pass a trial one by one from the lore. It mentioned that we did this separate from Lyse and Hien also. But yeah, once we were inside, we actually fought as 4-man... not solo.. so I guess WoL can summon her/his friend to cheat on any test/trial?


Also, Zeno always so strong, but I don't understand why did we just win him easily on the final dungeon. He even fuse with Shinryu, but still so so.. we manage to win without any help from Scion.

Well thanks for the spoiler. x) And if we really win against him in this form than I just simply cant understand how we are able to lose against him at the start. Not really good story telling imo.

To answer your question: Game play mechanics =/ ingame story. We need other people because this is a MMO and not a single player game. So even though we have people with us in all the instances we are most of the time doing them solo in canon. (We are also not running around, doing dungeons again and again in the story, this is only there so that we can have a game.)

The Azim Steppe dungeon's description kind of lampshades the whole thing, and they actually acknowledge that you had help for the final battle this time around.

It's common courtesy to spoiler tag things for a couple weeks after release, or at the very least mention that you're going to spoil early on in the post.

That said, I encourage you to read the Duty Finder descriptions of, like, every dungeon and read carefully. Every trial and dungeon this patch has done a fantastic job of answering this question: you don't "split into 4."

Each must do this by themselves, of course, and so you shall...though if by pure coincidence some of your fellow adventurers happened to have made the long journey to the Far East, and simply insisted on accompanying you...surely no one would be any the wiser?

Canonically, some of our adventurer friends might've insisted on helping us in the Mettle. You might not have any friends to help you too, if you wait a year or two and unsync it.
