Eh, that's a bit too short of a quote. The full thing was this: " I hate cleric’s stance! If we take it away though I think people will get mad, so it’ll stay. But I want to reiterate too, you guys are supposed to be healers. So you still need to focus on healing, and then if you want to help your party with DPS you can. Don’t get so wrapped up in DPS that everyone in your party is dead. Please be careful."
This is also coming from the guy who didn't want to add Summoner, but the demand was far too great, and yet he still doesn't like it. They send us mixed signals. On one hand, they made healing much more demanding, which is actually a nice change. On the other, though, Sch is most definitely made to be an off healer and they removed the need to swap into Cleric Stance for the specific purpose of encouraging us to dps (which, in all mmo's that I play, I love being the hybrid healer/dmg, so I really like this).


What they need to do is ilevel sync to the same level of the gear drops for DF or the lowest ilevel geared player (not cleared,) whichever is lower. That would keep ilevel creep from making content too easy too quickly. But that would also make a lot of content not very fun if you get a bad party.
Hence, syncing to the lowest ilevel geared player if someone has not cleared it is probably the fairest way to avoid making the content too easy. If everyone has cleared it, then it will just sync to the average ilevel.
And to the thread, no, healing is no harder than it was before. If anything it's easier because that CS mechanic is no longer in the way.
I would happily fail from time to time as a trade off for not falling asleep in content. But this is not that kind of game, and the players would revolt.
