Need some help picking tank for SB

Hi. I am currently torn between drk and pld. I know that om paper pld is superior but I am most likely only gona level one of them and are looking for some advice on how fun the Jobs feel at lvl 70. Since a lot og the info I can find is comming from pre 70 players. So I am asking you here to kindly help with some advice and experiences you have har here.

With the addition of Holy Spirit, as well as the QoL changes to blocking magic attacks, PLD is in a good position. Alot of attacks got a small potency increase as well and lastly we get some AoE damage through Total Eclipse. I went from WAR in 3.X to PLD in 4.0 and I don't regret it at all.

I cannot speak for DRK, mine is level 50 and I didn't like it in 3.X either, eventhough it was a good tank back then. Other people who play DRK at 70 can better tell you how it feels now.

Paladin kind of feels nice to have around for certain mechanics due to Passage of Arms, it really makes you into a protector of the party. Dark Knight at 70 feels a lot more average than it used to be, mechanically I don't have any issues but it feels squishier and lacking. It's fun if you want to focus primarily on DPS since they stripped out mostly everything... Honestly it feels like a dps-lite with some buffs on the side. They're in a ... dark place... right now.

I tank you all for the replies, for now it seems that pld might be the most fun to play. But will not have time to start it inntil tomorrow so I will wait for a few more replies before i make a final desition here.
