I've noticed this on several occasions where my 3 stacks of GL disappear as soon as the timer turns 1. Has this happened to anyone else?

It sounds like some BLM are feeling a similar effect with Eno dropping off prematurely.
Its part of the class gauge system....summoner has moments like that as well where you have 1-2 seconds of trance left and go to do a Deathflare only to have the animation cancel out before the blast because the timer ran out before the animation finished.
Gauge-related mechanics that were previously normal buffs that could 'drop off' had a second's worth of leeway in the old system, but the new system is much more strict. Basically you need to learn to not push the wire because the system won't let you anymore :/
Damn! I figured something like that was the case. I lived for pushing the wire.![]()
If you manage to get it at 2 or 1 seconds, you're actually already on borrowed time compared to ARR/HW -- the Greased Lightning timer was extended 2 seconds for Stormblood, probably in part to account for this over-strictness in the gauge. BLMs' Astral Fire and Umbral Ice were extended by 1 second.

This happened to me before as a Summoner. Using Deathflare at one second, your character rises into the air but never actually fires the nuke because timer and immediately falls back down. From that I learned that Deathflare isn't exactly instant - I use the move at the two second mark just to be safe. Its part of the class gauge system....summoner has moments like that as well where you have 1-2 seconds of trance left and go to do a Deathflare only to have the animation cancel out before the blast because the timer ran out before the animation finished.
