Now I could start listing of the clever references to Legend of Heroes;
- Cold steel.
- Liberation front.
- Prince gathers an army from the highlands, to take back a kingdom.
- Dividing efforts between west and east against the same foe.
Legend of Heroes series does have REALLY good world building, but the series is so niche that I'd chalk all of those up to mere coincidence rather than being intentional references.
