    'Eorzea' Used Incorrectly?

It seems to me that many speakers in the new areas under the map heading 'Far East' use the word Eorzea in conversation when they should be using their own region (or Hydaelyn) instead.

Isn't Eorzea mostly just Aldenard and Vylbrand? It doesn't make sense for an NPC in Kugane to refer to a group as the best alchemists in Eorzea, or for a Doman to describe a tiring task as running half way across Eorzea.

I made specific bug-reports in game, but am I crazy, or are many of these NPCs (and the writers, by extension) misusing Eorzea? I know a lot of players incorrectly use it to refer to Hydaelyn, but it seems weird that such a mistake would also show up in dozens of new quests.

I noticed this when doing the quests for the namazu merchant in Doma, he kept talking about being the best merchant in Eorzea, somewhere I'm fairly sure he's never even been to and his friend who appraised the rocks he found in Doma told him he dragged worthless rocks half way across eorzea, even though he never left Yanxia.
