Sick of client crashes forcing me to re-queue

Same issue here. I was supposed to join a group for Susano/Lakshmi training but upon opening discord, fatal directx error. The problem can be triggered randomly when using Microsoft Edge, Chrome or VLC Media Player. The problems started to occur near the end of Heavensward, and I already did a clean install of Windows 10, which only reduced the number of crashes.

MMOs really need to be able to allow people to use browsers and voice chat programs while playing and this one seems to crash regularly when trying to run anything else. So frustrating, and the queues make it far worse... >.<

That's weird! I can plug my headphones in or out just fine, I never crashed because of it!

It used to work fine until I had to buy new headset, unlike the old one - the new has it's own sound control. FFXIV simply lacks the ability to switch audio device, and there are some programs that can bypass it, but in my opinion it should work without need of additional background programs.
