Please Make EXP Through PvP Optional

Today, I was curious and decided to dabble with BRD and do PvP. My boyfriend and I were supposed to be leveling and doing story and stuff together.. Sadly, I never saw the part where you get exp through PvP >.<. Completed 4 FL matches, instant leave when over because that's what I always did. On the 4th match I noticed I leveled up and that upset me. Then I quit doing FL.

I don't want to level up through PvP. I love to PvP when I'm bored. I PvP to PvP, not get stronger in PvE. And because of this option, I can't PvP AT ALL or else everything will be leveling up. Not cool.

If there's already an option that exists that I missed.. can I get a tip? If not:

It may scale depending on your level.

I'm getting like 180-190k per 8v8 and ~600k per daily Frontlines roulette.

It scales at about the same rate PotD does. (I played both in sequence, on multiple jobs just to see)

That said, I'm seeing a spectacular rate of some kind of cheating or automated play going on. I won't divulge further info, but it's blatantly obvious, and I'm not sure if people are bothering to report them or just ignore it.

Perhaps the solution is only to hand out experience/tomes once per day like the roulette if people are just farming PvP for quick experience.

its glorious, got me a bunch o' levels ahead so I could run through the MSQ without walls, honestly I love that I now have an incentive to do pvp with my buddies.
POTD and the same dungeons can get old fast when you've played since early ARR. So I have to politely disagree with you, gaining exp in pvp is a great incentive to slow queue times and make people use the content.

Because that option is a waste of resources better spent elsewhere.
